His foray into the world of glamour, started by winning a reality show in Punjabi, Nidar—Dar ke Age Jeet Hai, based on the famous Fear Factor, which catapulted him to fame. But Dushyant Raghuvanshi knew that his real love was modelling even though his father runs a successful property dealing business in Chandigarh. After completing his graduation from Kurukshetra University, he started working with a friend to provide technical support to a US company and then launched his own.

Even though modelling is an industry where female models get more opportunities, what Dushyant counts as his strengths is being able to face the camera with oodles of self-confidence and his innate ability to work a designer ensemble in his favour. “Though I must confess, when I was young, I wanted to join the Army, and being a natural sportsperson I thought it would be a perfect fit,” he says.

Besides running which is his favourite, he also indulges in horse riding and swimming to keep fit. “I grew up with two sisters, both of whom are married now, so being the only son, my dad wanted me to do well and he is happy that I am a model and proudly shows off my pictures to family and friends,” he adds.

In his spare time he de-stresses with javelin throw, cricket and badminton. “I am looking forward to Ashish N Soni’s show, his clean cuts and superb tailoring has always had left me awe-struck,” he concludes.
